Hillard was born in Texas on December 27, 1924. Mr. Franklyn served in the U.S. Army from December 1945 to March 1946.

Biography
Prior to Mr. Exum’s arrival, Mr. Franklyn served briefly in Morgantown and may have boarded at the Timbers’ home. Before serving in Morgantown, he taught and served as principal at the Rectortown #12 School. He was born in Texas on December 27, 1924. Mr. Franklyn served in the U.S. Army from December 1945 to March 1946. He passed away on December 26, 2005, and is buried in the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery in Texas.
